The extreme conditions that breed revolutionary ideas, actions are simply not present, and anyway it’s hard enough mobilizing these apathetic, lazy bums to join an anti-crime rally, let alone prolonged marches, demonstrations, sit-ins, boycotts and the like. And mercifully, Trinidad is still a functioning democracy, just about. The majority of decent people go to work, take their kids to school, go home and eat with their families – all relatively safely. It’s the virulent minority, the criminals who feed off of the labors of hard-working families that need to punished with the full force of the law. The zeitgeist must be the commitment to creating strong nuclear families, well-behaved children who go to school and stay in school. Perhaps “Little Black Boy” should be a school anthem in some Junior Secs – drum it into their skulls.Maybe this will require a revolutionary spirit – but peaceful revolution, in the minds. Thought precedes action (well it should do!) and a dose of re-education really wont go amiss. The Orange Revolution in Georgia, or was it in Ukraine? Former Soviet Union anyway is a good example of ‘people’s power’. ‘We voted you in on the promise that you will deliver X, Y and Z. We will surely vote your ass out if you don’t perform, if you don’t produce the goods’. Rather, it’s the politics of envy and race, and no one wants to relinquish power. Look to the intelligentsia, the unions, an artiste even the damn expat communities, but get someone with new ideas who can ignite the people’s passions! Why is that so hard???Beaver

It definitely has to be phase out and as beaver puts it, the people have to be re-educated. because trust me my friend, if those people are put on the breadline in the blink of an eye, they have to get money somehow and if they can't get that money from an 'easy wuk', they will get it by other means and i highly doubt that they will actually consider improving their education or looking for a decent job. you guys hate niggas now, take what i telling you, you will truly hate niggas then...and beaver, i know you suggested that i stay away from controversy but i have to bring it up homes. if i trod on some toes, fuck that..so to expand on your question as to why "..a disproportionate number of black kids turn to crime". what are the reasons? i want to hear what people thinking; chinese, indian, african etc. i was listening to a local radio station and someone was saying that beef eaters are aggresive and was saying that black people eat alot of beef, hence the violent tendencies. i haven't researched it as yet so i don't want anybody on the blog nailing me on the cross for that.BRYING THE COCKRCHS...
